Neuro-intervention (interventional neurology) uses minimally invasive, catheter-based techniques to treat diseases of the blood vessels of the brain and spine — without the need for open surgery. Endovascular Procedures Offered:
- Mechanical Thrombectomy: State-of-the-art catheter-based retrieval of blood clots blocking major brain arteries in acute ischemic stroke — the most effective treatment when performed within the time window.
- Aneurysm Coiling: Endovascular placement of platinum coils inside a brain aneurysm to seal it off from blood flow and prevent rupture.
- Intracranial Stenting: Placement of stents in narrowed or diseased intracranial arteries to restore blood flow and reduce stroke risk.
